about

I've been a fan of Manchester United since 1985 when I was first introduced to the game in school via VHS tapes, yes, I came from the era of VHS tapes where my football coach would show us games from the English league and as a midfielder in school, the likes of With Bryan Robson, Mark Hughes, Jesper Olsen and Gordon Strachan left a mark on me from the way they play. Those were the days when footballers are tougher, charging in at every challenge without fear. Even fights happened more often in those days (from what I read in news and videos).

You could say that since then, I've not looked back. But one thing for sure is, I've bad memories when it comes to statistics and news. So this blog is created so I could put all the news I can gather about the club from across the web so I got a centralized place to browse back down in the future. Gone are the days where I spend tons of money on books about the club and players, now, source of information about the team is through the internet.

Link to the actual articles are linked back to the original source at the bottom of each posts so you can actually browse back into those sites for other news.

Now why did I choose My Stretford end as the name of this blog? MY actually stands for Malaysia cause that's where I'm from. Stretford End is because it's synonymous with the club, being the (officially known as) West Stand in Old Trafford, it is where all the faithful will cheer the crowd on. It is at the corner of this end and South Stand where the players' tunnel is located. It's at this stand where the statue of Denis Law stands tall as only Denis Law (in the 1960s) and Eric Cantona (in the 1990s) have reached the status of "King of the Stretford End" among the United faithful, the former for his formidable goal record and the latter for his charisma and aura.
